» Acuvue 2

free trialManufactured by Johnson & Johnson, the Acuvue 2 is the two-week upgrade from the original 1-week Acuvue (the original disposable contact lens). Wear them daily, for two weeks and then toss them. They have an inside out indicator, if you’d rather not use the surface of your eye for that uncomfortable task.

Very popular lens. A year’s supply for each eye is between 4 and 5 boxes and will set you back will run $150 to $200 (don’t forget to multiply that by two — the number of eyes you have). Shopping around can save you BIG Bucks.

* Lens.com automatically adds a 6.5% handling fee to all orders. I’ve added that 6.5% to this price to show the real cost.

** LensWorld.com adds a $1.95 “Processing Fee” to all orders, so while I’ve added that to the individual box price, ordering subsequent boxes brings the price per box down dramatically.
