Hang on to your wallets! Prices going UP?

By ira

I just finished the weekly (or whenever I have a spare 15-minutes) update of the contact lens price grid and you’ll notice a bit of RED in the mix. Prices on a few of the lenses appear to be rising. I’ve been wondering when this might begin to happen — things have been pretty stable for the year so far (looking back at cached page pricing). The “offenders” this week are Lens.com, Lens World, and Lensmart. Truth be told, the “jump” brought them pretty close in line with the rest of them — and still well below 1-800-Contacts.

Seems like all of our other necessities are rising in price, I guess we can’t be surprised that contact lenses are beginning to creep up.

Already, the FREE SHIPPING price tiers and offers appear to becoming at least a bit more scarce.

I don’t think there will be any big jumps, but just an interesting note that things are slowly creeping up with inflation. If you need an order, you may save a few bucks ordering sooner rather than later.
